The application of large industrial models is getting lively

Industry is the real main battlefield for the application of AI large models, and state-owned enterprises and central enterprises in Shanghai are activists who boldly introduce large models. Not only steam turbines, Shanghai's discrete manufacturing such as port machinery, ships, and high-end equipment, as well as process manufacturing such as chemicals, have also ushered in large models recently. At the seminar on "Implementation Paths of Large Models in Industrial Enterprises" hosted by Shanghai Industrial Internet Association, Mao Xinming, Director of the Standards Office of Hudong-Zhonghua Design Center, introduced how to give full play to large models in the final assembly and construction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships. "We have instilled a massive ship product library and knowledge base into the large model. After training, the large model can realize the generation of 2D conceptual design drawings and the mutual conversion between 2D and 3D design drawings based on natural semantics, and can better carry out conceptual models. Advanced visual creation", said Mr. Mao that when designers used to quickly model the shipowner's order intention, the details such as product appearance, color matching and interior decoration that they had no time to take into account are now taken care of, which greatly increases the probability of shipowners being tempted at first glance.

In a construction machinery company, the bidding documents for its heavy-duty customized equipment have been generated with the assistance of large models, the bid writing cycle has been shortened by more than 40%, and the average number of verification rounds in the bid review process has been reduced from 3.6 rounds to 2.1 rounds. Before bidding, the history of having to be led by a master to work overtime and repeatedly searching, copying and verifying thousands of reference documents is gone forever.

The spark of the collaboration between large models and industry is expected to create more possibilities. This July, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council stated that it would fully implement the "AI+" special action to encourage state-owned enterprises and central enterprises to realize the intelligent transformation of the production process with the help of AI technology and provide more competitive products and services to the market.
