On August 10th, Shanghai New Sky Helicopter Co., Ltd. successfully launched a two-way air taxi passenger service from Pudong International Airport to Kunshan City Terminal. The helicopter took off from Kunshan City Terminal and landed smoothly at Pudong Xingye Flight Base after about half an hour's flight, greatly shortening the commuting time and making public travel more convenient. This marked the successful opening of low-altitude air passenger routes in the Shanghai-Suzhou Yangtze River Delta region.

It is estimated that although it was previously necessary to take 4.5 hours to catch domestic flights from Kunshan to Pudong International Airport and 5.5 hours for international flights, the opening of low-altitude air passenger routes has been greatly shortened to only 90 minutes in advance for domestic flights and 120 minutes for international flights. It is predicted that this route can carry 20,000-30,000 passengers per year, and the operational economic revenue will exceed RMB10 million.

Shanghai New Sky Helicopter Co., Ltd. is a leading enterprise in low-altitude economic operation in Shanghai, which is a general aviation enterprise approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. It was recommended as a "typical demonstration enterprise of general aviation during the 13th Five-Year Plan period" by the East China Regional Administration of Civil Aviation, and was hired by Shanghai Emergency Management Bureau as "Shanghai Emergency Rescue Air Team", and is the designated support unit of "aviation medical rescue" for the Hangzhou Asian Games/Asian Paralympic Games.

Low-altitude passenger transportation is an important part of low-altitude economic industry. Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Civil Aviation East China Bureau, relevant departments of the Air Force, Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Shanghai Airport Group and other relevant units actively promote operation service companies to open low-altitude routes to the Yangtze River Delta region, promote the high-quality development of Shanghai's low-altitude economic industries, and further coordinate the realization of low-altitude economic and industrial integration in the Yangtze River Delta region. In the future, Shanghai will continue to expand the coverage of low-altitude routes, open low-altitude routes from Shanghai to Taicang, Wujiang and other Yangtze River Delta areas, and open low-altitude tourist routes in the city such as Pudong International Airport to Baoshan Cruise Resort, increase policy support, and inject new kinetic energy into the development of low-altitude economy and industry.
