The 17th International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference & Exhibition held

 On June 11th, the opening ceremony of the 17th International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference was held. Tang Wenkan, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shi Yubo, Chairman of China Energy Research Association, and Guan Weiyong, Chairman of Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics, attended the opening ceremony of the conference and delivered speeches. Huang Zhen, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, made a keynote speech. Zhu Gongshan, Chairman of GCL Group, Gao Jifan, Chairman of Trina Solar Energy, Dong Mingzhu, Chairman of Gree Electric Appliances, Armin Aberle, Director of the Solar Energy Research Institute of the National University of Singapore, and representatives from other leading enterprises and research institutes in the industry participated in the event.

 

Mr. Tang mentioned that in 2023, the output value of Shanghai's energy equipment reached RMB185 billion, a year-on-year increase of 14.5%. Energy equipment will become a dazzling growth pole for the development of Shanghai's advanced manufacturing industry. He pointed out that under the guidance of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality strategy, Shanghai will increase the layout of forward-looking technologies, introduce and cultivate a number of key enterprises, and strive to build a world-class new energy equipment industry highland, creating more favorable conditions for comprehensive economic and social energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green transformation.

 

The 17th International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy (Shanghai) Conference & Exhibition is the largest photovoltaic exhibition in the world. The scale of this exhibition was expected to exceed 380,000 square meters, and there were more than 20 themes and special forums, attracting more than 3,500 companies from 95 countries and regions from all over the world. The weight of international exhibitors was nearly 30%, and the number of visitors was expected to exceed 500,000.
