On March 29th, at Shanghai Global Investment Promotion Conference 2024, 21 key projects were signed on the spot, with a total investment of RMB52.4 billion, marking a strong conclusion for Shanghai's investment promotion of RMB343.5 billion in the first quarter. Exhibitions provide a window and a stage. At the beginning of 2024, Invest Shanghai actively upgraded its investment promotion concepts, innovated investment promotion models, fully relied on major platforms and exhibition events at home and abroad, accelerated the start of investment promotion work for key exhibitions, and held a series of "exhibitions within exhibitions" and "meetings within exhibitions" Activities, accurate docking of investment promotion leads, turning "traffic" to "retention", "exhibitors" to "investors", and investment promotion results continue to emerge.

As an international metropolis, Shanghai brings together talents, information and various market elements from all over the world. In order to make good use of the resources of local events and facilitate the investment promotion of exhibitions in the city, on the one hand, led by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization (Shanghai Municipal Investment Promotion Office), the investment promotion authorities in both municipal and district levels are efficiently linked, with vertical cooperation and cohesion. On the other hand, it is also important to collaborate relevant committees and offices, key parks, streets and towns to form a unified investment promotion front, and make horizontal efforts.

In order to actively strengthen communication and docking with enterprises, attract global talents and projects, effectively expand investment, and cultivate new drivers of economic growth, relevant municipal departments and districts combine their supervisory functions and regional advantageous industries to "go global" and attract investment and implement precise docking, actively visiting enterprises, understanding investment willingness, strengthening guidance services, and driving project implementation.

At the same time, for important exhibition events with great influence and high industrial fit, various districts have formulated special investment promotion plans of " one policy for one event", and carried out precise industrial docking activities. Existing enterprises will act as "matchmakers", attract investment through business, link upstream and downstream cooperative enterprises in the industrial chain, "trace the source" in the upstream, and "follow the vine" in the downstream, so as to drive high-quality enterprises to land in Shanghai together.
