On the afternoon of April 9th, Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center (Shanghai Industrial Green Development Promotion Center) and Shanghai Green Wing Environmental Product Declaration Promotion Center (EPD Promotion Center) jointly held the EPD International Mutual Recognition Agreement Signing Ceremony and Forum on Industrial Green Low-Carbon Development, which attracted many business representatives and industry experts to participate and discuss and drive industrial green low-carbon development.
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), as an internationally accepted environmental management tool, helps enterprises reduce carbon emissions and improve the environmental friendliness of products, which makes it an important link in promoting green low-carbon development. Shanghai shoulders the significant mission of building "five centers", and it is particularly critical to carry out innovative work such as EPD International mutual recognition. The signing of EPD International mutual recognition agreement marks a critical step for Shanghai to take in the international cooperation with EPD, laying the foundation for the smooth export of products of Chinese enterprises.
At the event, Shanghai Green Wing EDP Promotion Center was officially unveiled and established, and a mutual recognition agreement signing ceremony was completed with EPDItaly. It has become the first operating organization in China to achieve mutual recognition with international EPD organizations, and it is also the only EPD operating organization in China recognized by Eco Platform (EPD International), helping domestic enterprises shorten the cycle of mutual recognition with international institutions, and obtain a "pass" to enter specific markets.
At the event, EPD Promotion Center and EPDItaly jointly released three mutual recognition reports for the first time to help enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta export their products. Shanghai Energy Efficiency Center (Shanghai Industrial Green Development Promotion Center) and EPD Promotion Center jointly released 8 PCR standards for new energy vehicles, power batteries, and photovoltaic products. Eight audit institutions including Bureau Veritas International Inspection, DEKRA China, Ti Group (Shanghai) are officially registered at EPD Promotion Center, which have achieved breakthroughs from 0 to 1 in related domestic fields, and jointly built a "bridge" for China's green products to go international.
