On February 28th, the first prototype of 300 MW F-class heavy-duty gas turbine independently developed by China was rolled off the production line in Shanghai Lingang. The 300 MW F-class heavy-duty gas turbine that went offline this time consists of five major systems and more than 50,000 parts. It is the first heavy-duty gas turbine with the highest power and technical grade independently developed in China. It will become an important force to drive the development of high-end equipment manufacturing industry, and the new technologies, new materials and new processes adopted by it will significantly drive the progress of basic disciplines and industrial technology development of gas turbines in China. As the main unit of project implementation, State Power Investment Group, together with Harbin Electric Group, Dongfang Electric Group and Shanghai Electric Group, set up a joint heavy-duty gas turbine company to be responsible for the specific implementation. The first prototype was assembled and manufactured by Shanghai Electric Group. All participating units actively explored the practice of new national system innovation, gave full play to the main role of enterprise innovation, implemented organized innovation, promoted the integration of design, manufacturing and materials, and gathered 19 provinces and cities such as Beijing, Liaoning, Shanghai and Jiangsu. More than 200 enterprises, research institutes and universities participated in the research and development, and were overcoming the R&D of key core technologies, including superalloy materials, control system design, component and complete machine design, and hot-end component manufacturing, which realized the independent design and manufacture of high-power heavy-duty gas turbines has been realized for the first time in China!
