On the afternoon of February 18th, Pudong New Area held a leading area conference on investment and development in 2024 with the theme of "Win-Win in Pudong and Create a Better Future". Representatives from Pudong New Area Planning and Resources Bureau and other authorities made speeches. Pudong New Area Science and Technology Economic Commission and other departments signed a task book for high-quality development throughout the year. Representatives of major projects in 2024, such as the Humanoid Robot Manufacturing Innovation Center with a single project investment of RMB1 billion, signed contracts. Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Pudong New Area industrial chain collaborative investment mechanism officially launched.
In the next step, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization (Shanghai Municipal Investment Promotion Office) will continue to deepen coordination with Pudong New Area, do a good job in municipal-district linkage, focus on industrial chains such as integrated circuits, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, civil aviation, synthetic biology, metaverse, and automobiles, and guide characteristic development. Synergy and mutual promotion, focusing on multiple dimensions such as subdivided racetracks, top-notch projects, special personnel and three-level coordination, will support Pudong New Area to further facilitate industrial chain investment, help attract more high-quality enterprises and capital inflows, and further optimize resource allocation.
