Shanghai Municipal People's Government and Ant Technology Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai on January 31st. Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and Jing Xiandong, Chairman and CEO of Ant Technology Group, attended and witnessed the signing of the agreement. Chen Jie, Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and Peng Yijie, Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer of Ant Technology Group, signed the agreement on behalf of both parties respectively.
During the discussion and exchange, Mr. Gong pointed out that at present, we are focusing on the important mission of building "five centers" and speeding up the construction of a modern socialist international metropolis with world influence. It is hoped to take the signing of the new round of strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in various fields, strengthen industrial empowerment, promote consumption growth, provide greater assistance for the construction of the "five centers", and facilitate the better development of enterprises themselves. Shanghai will continue to create a first-class business environment and help all kinds of enterprises grow bigger and stronger in Shanghai.
According to the agreement, Ant Technology Group will increase its investment in cutting-edge technology research, actively participate in the ecological construction of Shanghai’s artificial intelligence industry and blockchain industry innovation platform, and help the construction of Shanghai International Science and Technology Innovation Center. Ant Group will base itself on Shanghai, firmly drive globalization, build a global digital payment ecology, and participate in the construction of Shanghai International Financial Center. Ant Technology Group will also drive international cooperation and technological innovation, cultivate and introduce high-end talents, and jointly create a "Shanghai sample" of green, low carbon and social responsibility.
