On the morning of November 15th, the 41st Shanghai-Yokohama Economic and Technological Exchange Conference was successfully held in Yokohama, Japan. Cheng Peng, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization and Head of the Shanghai delegation, attended the event and delivered a speech. Delegations from Shanghai and Yokohama summarized the cooperation in the economic and technological fields in the previous stage and made clear the cooperation plan for the next stage.
In his speech, Mr. Cheng pointed out that the mechanism of Shanghai-Yokohama Economic and Technological Exchange Conference has lasted for a long time, and this year marks the 50th anniversary of Shanghai and Yokohama becoming sister cities. He said that based on the common needs of both sides in industrial innovation and green development, the next step will focus on key areas, give full play to the role of Shanghai’s characteristic industrial parks, fully tap local needs and application scenarios, strengthen the collaborative docking of industrial chain innovation chain, and jointly safeguard the resilience of global industrial chain supply chain with practical actions. Shanghai will further enlarge the spillover effect of the international open platform, and welcome global investors and innovative entrepreneurs from Yokohama and other places to come to Shanghai for business.
At the event, the heads of delegations of both sides signed the memorandum of the 41st Shanghai-Yokohama Economic and Technological Exchange Conference. After the event, the Shanghai delegation visited relevant enterprises and exhibitions in Yokohama.
