Recently, the inaugural meeting of Shanghai New Catalytic Materials Industry Alliance was held in Shanghai. Yang Weimin, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Ruan Li, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization attended and delivered speeches. Xie Zaiku and Zhao Dongyuan, Academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences attended and gave keynote speeches.
Mr. Ruan said that new catalytic materials represents the key area for Shanghai's future material innovation highland construction. Efforts should be made to improve the independent controllability of high-end catalytic materials, help the breakthrough of dual-carbon strategy and high-performance materials, and plan a new direction for Shanghai's future chemical innovation and development. He hoped that the alliance would give full play to its role as a link between the government and enterprises, actively carry out research on major issues of new catalytic materials, explore the construction of pilot bases for catalytic materials, and enhance Shanghai's ability to innovate new catalytic materials.
