Put more innovative businesses and functional platforms facing the future and the world in Shanghai! Shanghai and China Minmetals signed a strategic cooperation agreement

 Shanghai Municipal People's Government and China Minmetals Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai on January 29th. Chen Jining, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, met with Weng Zuliang, Chairman of China Minmetals, and Guo Wenqing, General Manager of China Minmetals.

 

 

Mr. Chen pointed out that many business functions of China Minmetals are highly compatible with Shanghai's industrial development direction. He hoped China Minmetals would take the signing of this agreement as an opportunity, further deepen the functioning and layout in Shanghai, put more innovative businesses and functional platforms facing the future and the world in Shanghai, strengthen strategic docking and cooperation around key areas such as investment and trade, new materials and urban renewal, work together to implement major national strategies, and better represent the country in international cooperation and competition.

 

Gong Zheng, Weng Zuliang and Guo Wenqing attended the signing ceremony. Li Zheng, Vice Mayor, and Wang Shilei, Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals signed the agreement on behalf of both parties.

 

Municipal leader Zhang Wei attended the meeting.

 

According to the agreement, the two sides will focus on deepening the construction of the "five centers", promote the deep integration of China Minmetals into Shanghai's development, work together to promote cooperation in the fields of industrial agglomeration, innovation platform, new energy and new materials, investment, development and construction of key areas, integration of production and city, urban renewal and transformation, and financial business, and work together to drive the integration of central and local areas and better serve the national strategies such as the integration of Yangtze River Delta.

 

At the signing ceremony, Xuhui District Government and Minmetals Development Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement.
