The International Biopharma Industry Week Shanghai 2022 kicked off on November 14th at Zhangjiang Science Hall, Shanghai.
Chen Jining, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, attended the opening ceremony and launched the event. Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, delivered speeches respectively.
Jiang Zhuoqing, Director of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Congress, released an upgraded version of the collaborative research and innovation platform for hospitals and medical enterprises at the opening ceremony.
Mr. Gong stated that we should aim at the direction of high end, intelligence and internationalization. It is essential to further enhance the innovation cradle capacity, the energy level of industrial clusters, the efficiency of integration of production and medicine, and the level of open cooperation, promote the deep integration of innovation chain, industrial chain, capital chain and talent chain, accelerate the building of a world-class biomedical industrial cluster, and provide strong support for safeguarding people's lives and health and meeting people's needs for a better life.
Municipal leaders, including Wu Qing, Zhang Wei and Zong Ming, attended the opening ceremony.
Dominic Jordan, President of the International Pharmaceutical Federation, delivered a speech via video. Huang Guo, Deputy Director of National Medical Products Administration, and Liu Jingzhen, Chairman of Sinopharm Group, addressed keynote speeches.
At the opening ceremony, well-known Chinese and international scientists, industry innovators and investors gathered together to share their thoughts on innovation-driven development of biomedical industry under a high level of opening up.
The upgraded version of collaborative research and innovation platform for hospitals and medical enterprises is designed to further enhance the role of high-level hospitals in Shanghai in promoting industrial development and driving the integration and transformation of industrial chain and innovation chain. While further facilitating clinical trials, we will solve the "last mile" concern of innovative medical equipment access through the integration of industry and hospitals, the innovation alliances of medical enterprises and hospitals, and the express channel of innovative products.
With the theme of "Unite and Upgrade for a Better Future", this Industry Week consists of one opening event and nearly 40 simultaneous events, aiming at building a high-standard international exchange platform in the field of biomedicine, creating an industrial event brand with global influence, displaying global innovation achievements, sharing industry development trends and promoting cooperation and exchanges among enterprises.
