On October 28th, the exchange meeting of Italian Design Masterclass 2022 was successfully held. Ruan Li, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Tiziana D'ANGELO, Consul General of Italian Consulate General in Shanghai, attended the event and delivered speeches.
Mr. Ruan pointed out that Shanghai is making every effort to promote the construction of a world-class "design capital", integrating design concepts and services into the city's industrial development, space construction, public services, citizens' lives, city brands and other aspects, so as to realize "design everywhere in the city and in life". Meanwhile, we should give full play to the advantages of Shanghai's fashion consumer goods industry, pay attention to design empowerment, and light up people's better life with design. It is hoped that Shanghai can deepen diversified cooperation with Milan and other cities in Italy in the fields of design and fashion, and share a new chapter of "unbounded integration and symbiosis of design".
The Italian Design Masterclass Program, co-sponsored by Shanghai Design Capital Promotion Center and Italian Foreign Trade Commission, has been held for four consecutive years. The program aims to build a platform for designers and fashion creative brands of the two countries, help deepen exchanges and cooperation among industries, enterprises, institutions, talents and other factors between Shanghai and Milan and between China and Italy, and in turn create a fashion design innovation ecosystem.
