Shanghai City Digital Transformation Experience Week with the theme of "Jointly Building and Sharing in Digital Capital" kicked off on August 24th at Shanghai International Fashion Center. Wang Qinmin, Vice Chairman of the 12th CPPCC National Committee, delivered a keynote speech. Gong Zheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, announced the opening of Experience Week.
As the first important event in Shanghai to demonstrate the phased achievements of Shanghai's comprehensive promotion of city digital transformation, this Experience Week summarized and reviewed the achievements and lessons of Shanghai's city digital transformation, and drove the deep integration of three major areas of "economy, life and governance" by gathering forces from all walks of life and activating digital potential.
At the opening ceremony, Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Han Xia, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, delivered speeches. Zhang Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, awarded licenses to eight municipal demonstration zones for city digital transformation in Shanghai. Fang Shouen, Party Secretary of Tongji University, attended the event. Chen Jie, President of Tongji University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, issued the "Guidelines for Digital Transformation Planning and Construction of Shanghai’s New Towns". 24 digital innovation and transformation projects in five new towns were unveiled for worldwide open competition. Five key projects, namely Shanghai Public Computing Service Platform, "5G + Fire Protection" Application Service, 5G + AI Sports Digital Twin, Qingpu Yangtze River Delta Digital Trunk Line and Shanghai Electronic Port Metaverse, were signed.
