On August 18th, the Innovation and Development Forum 2022 of Shanghai Radio Testing Industry Alliance with the theme of "Exploring new wireless kinetic energy, driving new digital highland" was successfully held online and offline. Tang Wenkan, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended and delivered a speech. This forum is guided by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, sponsored by Shanghai Radio Testing Industry Alliance and Shanghai Radio Monitoring Station, and undertaken by the First Research Institute of Telecommunications Science and Technology Co., Ltd.

Mr. Tang pointed out that "Double Gigabit" network, as an important component and carrier of new infrastructure, plays a key role in stimulating effective investment, promoting information consumption and helping digital transformation of the city. At present, Shanghai has built more than 60,000 5G outdoor base stations and 210,000 5G indoor stations. According to the first issue of “National Mobile Network Quality Monitoring Report” released by China ICT Institute, in the first quarter of this year, the average downlink access rate of Shanghai’s 5G network reached 463M, ranking first in China. During the "14th Five-Year Plan", the city will take the "Double Gigabit" construction as the guide to build a flexible and intelligent connection network, further enhance the perception of network coverage, speed and delay, and meet various application needs such as residents' lives and industrial development. It is also essential to improve the deployment of traditional infrastructure through innovative means, comprehensively upgrade the service level of facilities, and strive to make Shanghai a connecting highland with multi-network cooperation and three-dimensional coverage.
