In order to further gather global talents and unite development efforts, create an investment atmosphere and announce Shanghai's firm determination to build a world-class integrated circuit industry cluster, Shanghai Talent Office, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Association for Science and Technology, Shanghai University, Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association and Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund jointly launched a series of Shanghai "Master Lectures". Fu Xinhua, First-class Inspector of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Ma Xingfa, Party Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Association for Science and Technology, and Wang Xiaofan, Vice President of Shanghai University, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.
In the first "Master Lecture", Liu Ming, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Yang Chonghe, Chairman of Montage Technology, were invited to share deeply around the themes of "Innovation and Development of Integrated Circuits" and "Core World, Chain Future", and analyzed the innovation roadmap of integrated circuit industry and its trend.
Mr. Fu pointed out in his speech that integrated circuits are one of the three leading industries in Shanghai, and Shanghai will unswervingly support the development and growth of integrated circuit industry, cultivate the most dynamic IC industry ecosystem and build a world-class IC industry cluster. As the region with the most complete IC industry chain, the highest technical level and the strongest comprehensive competitiveness in China, Shanghai has gathered more than 1,200 key enterprises in the industry, 40% of the national industrial talents and 50% of the domestic industrial innovation resources. In the first half of 2022, the industry continued to maintain a growth rate of over 17%. During the "14th Five-Year Plan", Shanghai will continue to serve as the investment hot spot of global IC industry, innovation highland and entrepreneurial stage, expand open cooperation, create the best business environment, provide the most attractive policies, cultivate the most active ecological circle, help worldwide talents, and gather global resources to jointly build a world-class IC industry cluster.
