To fully activate the new momentum of the digital economy and empower the transformation and upgrading of the digital economy, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology launched the National Information Consumption City Tour. Combined with the work arrangements of promoting consumption, stabilizing growth and boosting confidence in the 3rd Shanghai "May 5 Shopping Festival", the National Information Consumption City Tour 2022 (Shanghai Stop) and Shanghai Information Consumption Festival jointly sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce officially kicked off on July 26th. The theme of this Information Consumption Festival is "New Era of the City, New Consumption in the Future", an event matrix of "1×4×N" has been created, and more than 100 events such as opening ceremony, interactive experience, online forum, product launch and promotion are planned all over the city. Through various forms of supply and demand matching, a number of excellent digital products and solutions will be introduced in a centralized manner, so as to seize new opportunities for digital transformation, drive new modes of information consumption and accelerate the new waves of information consumption.
The launch ceremony was held on the afternoon of July 26th. Wang Jiangping, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, delivered a video speech. Zhang Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, attended and launched Shanghai Information Consumption Festival. Zhuang Mudi, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, awarded licenses to the “Source of Hongqiao”, an online new economic ecological park in Shanghai, and two "metaverse" industrial innovation parks, "Zhangjiang Digital Chain" and "Caohejing Metaverse Future". At the opening ceremony, Zhang Wei, Deputy Secretary of CPC Changning District Committee and District Head, released 18 special support policies for the online new economy of "Sources of Hongqiao". Meanwhile, the event also released the "Enterprise Star Plan for Benefiting Shanghai", which empowers Shanghai enterprises to develop with high quality by cohesive efforts of industries. China News Finance and China News Shanghai Branch jointly launched the "Digital Economy Billboard 2022", focusing on exploring benchmark products and applications in the field of global digital technology innovation.
