The Working Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 23rd China International Industry Fair was held

 On July 14^th, the Working Meeting of the Organizing Committee of the 23^rd China International Industry Fair (CIIF) was held, attended by the heads of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Machinery Industry Federation and relevant authorities in Shanghai. Rong Zhiqin, Deputy Director of the Office of CIIF Organizing Committee and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Mr. Rong pointed out that CIIF is a window for China's manufacturing industry to cooperate and exchange with foreign countries. Running CIIF well is particularly important for giving an open and inclusive voice of China, helping international exchanges and cooperation in the manufacturing sector and promoting the development of the real economy. Faced with many adverse effects brought by COVID-19, it is necessary to strengthen ideological understanding, establish bottom-line thinking, unite all forces, take epidemic prevention and control as the top priority, and refine the epidemic prevention and control plan and further implement the measures. It is essential to do a good job in exhibitor recruitment with high quality, focus on leading enterprises in the industry, especially those with industry leadership, cutting-edge technologies and market influence, scientifically lay out exhibition areas, and focus on displaying hot spots in industry development, highlights in technology products and experience points in product application. We should make great efforts in internationalization, attract the latest achievements of global advanced manufacturing industry, facilitate exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign enterprises, and gather more strength and better resources. Attention should be paid to the construction of digital platform for CIIF, with the help of new technologies and media, time and space constraints should be broken, gathering should be minimized, and immersive experience should be brought to the audience through enriched online activities.
