Under the vigorous promotion of the national joint prevention and control mechanism, and with the full cooperation of Zhejiang Province, Jiangsu Province and Shanghai Municipality, the Emergency Supply Transfer Stations in Yangtze River Delta (Zhejiang-Shanghai) were officially put into operation on April 18th and completed the first freight handover, which will promote the inter-provincial transfer of important production materials to enter the stations and open up the freight channel in the Yangtze River Delta region. There are 6 transfer stations in the first batch (4 have been completed), all of which were built by SAIC Anji Logistics Company using existing sites, including 2 in Shanghai, located at Jiading District and Minhang District respectively; 2 in Zhejiang, located in Hangzhou and Ningbo respectively; and 2 in Jiangsu under construction.
Since April 9th, Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, together with Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Transportation Commission, Shanghai Municipal Healthcare Commission, the district governments and SAIC, has set up a task force for transfer stations in Shanghai, which has engaged several rounds of stress tests in the transfer stations and formed the linkage foundation among transfer stations in Shanghai and Zhejiang.
Closed-loop management and "contactless" delivery will be implemented in the whole process of emergency supply transfer stations for important materials in the Yangtze River Delta. Each station covers an area of about 5,000 square meters, which can guarantee the transit demand of 30 vehicles of or over 20 tons every day, eliminate the risk of virus spread by means of goods transfer and connection, and ensure smooth transportation of materials.
In the future, the emergency supply transfer stations for important materials in the Yangtze River Delta will continue to serve as an important hub of the two-way transportation channel in the region, ensuring the smooth freight transportation of the industrial supply chain in the Yangtze River Delta and effectively helping its stable operation.
