On the morning of March 9th, according to the requirements of Shanghai's extensive visit and investigation of "promoting development and ensuring safety" and the work arrangement of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, led a team to China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) for investigation, and had a discussion and exchange with the leaders of the enterprise to fully understand its operation and listen to its demands and suggestions.
Mr. Wu listened to the presentation of CSSC’s economic operation, headquarters relocation and the development plan of the 14th Five-Year Plan. He pointed out that CSSC is one of the representatives of "China's heaviest weapons" among central SOEs and congratulated the Corporation on its achievements. CSSC’s relocation to Shanghai has enabled Shanghai to have the largest iron and steel manufacturer, the largest port operator, the largest ship user and the largest shipbuilder at the same time, thus building a good industrial ecology for Shanghai. Mr. Wu mentioned that Shanghai will take this headquarters relocation as an opportunity to actively explore a new mechanism for central and local integration and development, and make use of Shanghai's urban advantages to serve and empower the development of CSSC. Meanwhile, CSSC should adhere to innovation leadership, focus on the layout of new tracks, cultivate and expand new kinetic energy, promote digital transformation, participate in new digital infrastructure, and deeply integrate into Shanghai's economic and social development. The Commission will further improve the headquarters relocation service and industrial support, always pay attention to the development demands of enterprises, and continue to be the “Gold Servant" for serving enterprises. He stressed that in the face of the complicated and ever-changing COVID-19 epidemic and security situation, enterprises should always do a good job in epidemic prevention and control and safety in production with full enthusiasm, especially bringing outsourcing contractors into strict management and do emergency treatment with stricter and higher standards.
