On the morning of January 4th, the Urban Design Conference of Shanghai Maqiao Artificial Intelligence Innovation Pilot Zone and the Commencement Ceremony of Shanghai Industrial Intelligence Center were successfully held. Zhang Ying, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended and delivered a speech to witness the launch of Shanghai Industrial Intelligence Center. Chen Yujian, Secretary of CPC Minhang District Committee, and Chen Huawen, Acting District Head, were present.
Ms. Zhang said in her speech that Shanghai Maqiao Artificial Intelligence Innovation Pilot Zone is one of the four carriers of artificial intelligence integration and innovation in Shanghai. Since its establishment two years ago, it has focused on the agglomeration of artificial intelligence industry chain, made great efforts to build AI power engine, and continuously escorted the development of artificial intelligence industry. The 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Artificial Intelligence Industry in Shanghai recently issued by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization has drawn a new blueprint for the development of artificial intelligence in Shanghai. It is hoped that the Pilot Zone will continue to revitalize innovative resources, improve supporting measures such as optimizing land and financing, and drive the development of high-quality industries with the construction of high-quality parks.
During the event, the urban design scheme of the Pilot Zone depicts the overall structure of "three districts integrating production towns, one park representing ecology, one axis leading technology, and four corridors gathering vitality", which helps to build a world-class industrial cluster of artificial intelligence. Shanghai Industrial Intelligence Center is the first industrial carrier project in the comprehensive application area of the Pilot Zone, with a total investment of RMB1.44 billion and a total construction area of 140,000 square meters, which will carry the core function of building the benchmark carrier of artificial intelligence industry in the Zone.
