On November 12th-14th, 2021, the 8th International Graphene Innovation Conference in 2021was held at Shanghai University. Dong Yunhu, Chairman of ShanghaiCPPCC, attended the debriefing meeting and delivered a speech. Guided by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission and China Productivity Promotion Center Association, and jointly sponsored by Baoshan District Government, Shanghai University and the Innovation Alliance of the Graphene Industry (CGIA), the conference created a global graphene carnival with the theme of "Gathering Double Carbon and Creating the Graphene Future", focusing on the industrial chain and supply chain, international cooperation resources, and deep integration of production, education and research. Chen Jie, Secretary of CPC Baoshan District Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Gao Yiyi, Deputy Secretary of CPC Baoshan District Committee and District Head, and Ling Huikang, Party Secretary of Baoshan District CPPCC, were present. Cao Zhenquan, Deputy Secretary-general of Shanghai CPPCC, Xu Jianmin, Director of CPPCC Economic Committee, Zhang Hongtao, Chief Engineer of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Lu Min, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, and Mao Lijuan, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, attended the event.
At the meeting, Shanghai’s graphene industry technology functional platform, methane cracking to prepare high-quality graphene products and other achievements were displayed, and the annual Outstanding Contribution Award for Graphene Industry and Industry Science and Technology Innovation Award were granted. Mr. Zhang presented awards to the winners of Outstanding Contribution Award for Graphene Industry.
