On September 10th, "IPv6+" Innovation City Summit Forum was successfully held in Shanghai and Beijing. With the theme of "Stimulating Network Source, Building Digital Intelligence Base and Rejuvenating Digital City", this summit forum linked the two cities, and more than 300 enterprises and institutions participated in the forum through the live broadcast platform. Wu Hequan, Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Expert Committee for Promoting IPv6 Mass Deployment, Xie Cun, Director of the Information and Communication Development Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wen Ruisong, Deputy Director of the Information Development Bureau of the Central Cyber Security and Informatization Committee Office, and Wang Zhiqin, Secretary General of the Expert Committee for Promoting IPv6 Mass Deployment and Vice President of China ICT Institute, attended the forum online in Beijing. At the forum, Wu Hequan released the “White Paper on Innovation and Development of IPv6 in Shanghai”. According to the White Paper, the mass deployment of IPv6 in Shanghai has been at the forefront of China. Shanghai has fully completed the IPv6 transformation of LTE end-to-end, fixed network end-to-end, backbone network interconnection, all data centers and DNS domain name recursive resolution system. IPv6 active users of metropolitan area network accounted for 77% nationwide, and IPv6 active users of LTE network accounted for 87%. Mainstream cloud services, CDN and Internet enterprises completed IPv6 massive coverage. According to the IPv6 evaluation results of websites in various places by the Central Network Office, as of June 2021, the comprehensive score of IPv6 support of portals in key areas in Shanghai ranked first in China.
