On August 13rd, Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Liu Ping, Vice Chairman, led a team to investigate Huawei Qingpu R&D Center Project, visited the project construction site, and had discussion and exchange with relevant departments of Qingpu District and Huawei Group, in order to coordinate issues related to project promotion on site. Jiang Aifeng, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingpu District Committee and Deputy District Head of QIngpu District, participated in the investigation.
Mr. Wu pointed out that Huawei Qingpu R&D Center Project is a major industrial project with important strategic significance, which will play a vital role in promoting the development of integrated circuit industry in Shanghai and leading the construction of Yangtze River Delta integration demonstration zone. Qingpu District should fully support Huawei project and strengthen project services. Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization will rely on the dedicated service mechanism of the project, accelerate the coordination and promotion of the project in conjunction with the dedicated departments and fully guarantee the project construction.
Huawei Qingpu R&D Center Project is located at Jinze Town, Qingpu District, with a total land area of about 2,400 Mu. The project plans to combine modern workplaces with high-tech elements and green ecology to build Huawei's global innovation base. Relevant responsible comrades of the Office of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and the Industrial Investment Department participated in the investigation.
