In order to carry out the verification and joint debugging of 5G broadcasting technology, in June 2021, the Science and Technology Department of the State Administration of Radio and Television and China Radio and Television Network Group Co., Ltd. conducted the 5G NR broadcasting tower test in Shanghai as planned. Under the guidance of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization and Shanghai Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Oriental Pearl New Media and Oriental Cable attached great importance to it and quickly deployed and implemented the test work. Oriental Pearl New Media Co., Ltd. led subsidiaries at all levels, including Oriental Cable Network Co., Ltd., Oriental Pearl Transmission Co., Ltd., Oriental Pearl TV Tower, and In just one month, the project survey, scheme design, equipment deployment in the tower, cable deployment and network adjustment were completed. The deployment and system debugging of antenna and other equipment outside the tower were finished on the early morning of August 6th, basically completing the test station construction of 5G NR broadcasting tower of Oriental Pearl TV Tower, which was the first to be completed in China and met the test conditions. After completion, the test equipment of 5G NR broadcasting tower of Oriental Pearl TV Tower can fully cover the area within the Outer Ring of Shanghai, laying a good foundation for the test work of 5G NR broadcasting tower.
