On the morning of July 29th, Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, visited Shanghai Promotion Office for Science and Technology Innovation Center Construction and discussed the preparatory work for the "Maker China" Shanghai Division, and Peng Song, Executive Deputy Director of Shanghai Promotion Office for Science and Technology Innovation Center Construction, attended the meeting.
Since 2019, with the strong support of Shanghai Promotion Office for Science and Technology Innovation Center Construction, the finals of "Maker China" Shanghai Division have landed at Zhangjiang for two consecutive years. Statistics shows that in the past two years, Zhangjiang has accounted nearly 100 participating enterprises, with remarkable achievements. Four enterprises were shortlisted for the finals of Shanghai Division in 2020 and won the first, second and third prizes respectively. Among them, Xinpu Technology represented Shanghai in the national final and won the first place in the National Maker Group.
Since 2016, "Maker China" Shanghai SME Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition has created a model of "one competition and three evaluations", selecting and cultivating entrepreneurial heroes with high standards, efficiency and quality. In the past five years, it has attracted nearly 2,300 entries, and 15 enterprises have been promoted to the national list of "Maker China" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Many enterprises such as Dandi Communication, Xinpu Technology and Nassen Automobile have won the first and second prizes of "Maker China" on behalf of Shanghai. The total funding of selected enterprises exceeded RMB 5.4 billion. In 2021, “Maker China” Shanghai Division was open for registration in Shanghai Enterprise Service Cloud (www.ssme.sh.gov.cn) from June 25th to August 8th.
