The Sixth Plenary Meeting of Shanghai Private Economy Development Joint Conference was Held

On May 13th, the sixth plenary meeting of Shanghai Private Economy Development Joint Conference was held. The meeting focused on implementing the spirit of General Secretary Jin Ping's important speech on the development of private economy and the relevant work requirements of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Shanghai Municipal Government, reported the overall situation of the development of private economy in Shanghai and the promotion of the joint meeting in 2020, and deployed the key work arrangements of the joint meeting in 2021. Zheng Gangmiao, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, attended the meeting and Shou Ziqi, Vice Chairman of Shanghai CPPCC and Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, presided over the meeting. Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Government, attended the meeting and made a speech. Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman of the Commission, attended the meeting.

 

 

At the meeting, a centralized awarding ceremony was held for three private enterprise headquarters clusters including Nanhongqiao, Zhangjiang and Shibei Hi-Tech, and two private economic headquarters parks, including Jiading New Town and Changxing. Four units, including Shanghai Municipal Justice Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Taxation Bureau, Putuo District Government and Jiading District Government, made typical speeches respectively.

 

It is reported that in 2020, the private economy achieved an added value of RMB1.11 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 1.0%, accounting for 28.7% of Shanghai's GDP. The tax revenue of the private economy was RMB477.77 billion, accounting for 38.6%, a record high. The total import and export volume was RMB833.59 billion. In 2020, there will be more than 3,000 newly recognized specialized and innovative enterprises, and private enterprises account for over 90%.
