On April 27th, CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization held a celebration of the International Labor Day with the theme of "Stay true to our causes, go with the Party and pass down the spirit of model workers from generation to generation". Shen Jun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, and Zhou Qi, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, attended the event and awarded honorary certificates to the groups and individuals who won the national "May Day Labor Award", "May Day Labor Medal" and "Worker Pioneer".
The theme activity was divided into three chapters, namely "Studing the History of the Party", "Praising the Party's Grace" and "Doing Practical Things", in the forms of chorus, scenario-based party class and poetry recitation. Focusing on the practical activities of "I do practical things for the masses", seven model workers, including Qiu Lina of China Telecom Shanghai Branch, Liu Guochao of PetroChina Shanghai Sales Co., Ltd., Xu Airong of State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Company, Zhang Dongwei of Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd., Guo Wen of China Pharmaceutical Industry Research Institute, Xie Yongye of Shanghai Industrial and Commercial Foreign Language School, Zhang Minlong of Shanghai Information Investment Co., Ltd., presented and shared their industries and services with the theme of "I am a model worker and a pioneer", who collectively declared the initiative of "Stay true to our causes and start another century's journey to shine brilliantly".
