On April 12th, the launching ceremony of the emergency rescue training for 10,000 cadres and workers of the municipal authorities was held in the Commission system. Yang Zheng and Li Yunlong, Executive Deputy Secretaries of CPC Shanghai Municipal Shen Jun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, Hao Liang, Secretary of CPC Leaders Group of Shanghai Municipal Red Cross, and Chen Xin, Deputy Secretary, were present. The leaders also started the one-year training program. More than 80 cadres of the Commission participated in the first training workshop.
The training was a specific action of the practical activity of "I do practical work for the masses" in the study and education of the Party history, which was sponsored by the CPC Committees of municipal authorities and the Red Cross. The first workshop was co-organized by the trade unions of municipal authorities Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. The training focuses on the implementation of the concept of "the people's city is built by the people and for the people", based on strengthening the health awareness and service guarantee ability of the cadres and staff of the units, highlighting emergency rescue, strengthening practical training and encourage the cadres of the government to take the lead in implementing the public health action plan.
The first workshop focused on the study of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED). The combination of theoretical teaching and practical operation aroused participants’ strong interest in learning. Vivid teaching cases and real training experience made participants easy to understand and benefit a lot, who said that learning the knowledge of emergency rescue can not only master a skill to protect their own health and their families' health, but also enhance their ability to serve the masses. They can not only help themselves to protect their health, but also help each other to do practical things.
The trade union chairmen of some municipal authorities and the emergency rescue teachers team of Shanghai Municipal Red Cross Affairs Center attended the ceremony.
