On March 24th, Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, presided over an expert forum on the planning of advanced manufacturing industry in the 14th Five-year Plan, and held discussions and exchanges with government authorities, business executives, research institutes and industry associations on the contents of the 14th Five-year Plan of Shanghai’s advanced manufacturing industry. Mr. Wu pointed out that the preparation and implementation of the advanced manufacturing industry plan during the 14th Five-year Plan is an important way to promote the high-quality development of the industry. First, it is necessary to further strengthen the implementation of the national strategy, and vigorously promote green manufacturing and smart energy management in terms of carbon neutral and peak carbon dioxide emissions. Second, it is important to take the lead in promoting the digital transformation of manufacturing industry, enhance the digital core competitiveness of "Made in Shanghai" and speed up the formulation of standards. Third, it is important to actively cultivate leading manufacturing enterprises, serve the domestic and international "dual cycle", support the output products and technologies of high-quality enterprises in this city, accelerate the pace of "going abroad" and develop the headquarters economy. And fourth, it is a must to accelerate the cultivation of new economic momentum and vigorously develop new online economy, intelligent terminals, creative design, big health and other emerging fields.
