On March 9th, Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, visited Suzhou with his team, including Suzhou Industrial Park, InnoLight Technology (Suzhou), Hengli Textile and Shenghong Group. Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman, were also present.
Mr. Wu visited the exhibition center of Suzhou Industrial Park, the exhibition halls of InnoLight Technology and Hengli Textile and the national advanced functional fiber innovation center of Shenghong Group. The group successively listened to the introduction of enterprise development and exchanged cooperation prospects. Mr.Wu fully affirmed the development achievements of Suzhou Industrial Park and private economy, and pointed out that the enterprises of Shanghai and Suzhou have cooperated closely for many years, with a solid foundation for the development of industrial integration. The private economy of Suzhou is well developed, and a number of private enterprises start from township enterprises and continue to grow into multinational companies with large scale, strong strength, global reputation and competitiveness. Shanghai is rich in scientific research resources, has a sound financial market, and plays an important role in market expansion, which can enable private enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta to achieve greater development. It is important for Shanghai and Jiangsu to seize the opportunity of Hongqiao International Open Hub construction, complement each other's advantages, strengthen cooperation, and jointly promote the high-quality development of Yangtze River Delta integration.

In 2020, Suzhou Industrial Park achieved a GDP of RMB290.71 billion, with a total import and export value of US$94.18 billion, ranking first among national economic development zones in terms of comprehensive strength. Located in Suzhou Industrial Zone, InnoLight Technology is an international leading supplier of optical modules, and its market share has been leading the world for many years. Hengli Textile has the world's largest PTA plant, functional fiber production base and weaving enterprises. Shenghong Group is mainly engaged in petrochemical, textile and energy, and its annual output of superfine fiber ranks first in the world. Hengli Textile and Shenghong Group ranked 4th and 22nd respectively in the list of China's Top 500 private enterprises in 2020.
