On the morning of January 7th, Zhang Jianming, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, attended 2021 Work Meeting of China Telecom Shanghai Company, and also made an exchange speech on the economic situation in 2021, the construction of urban digital base with new infrastructure and the urban digital transformation. Ma Yimin, General Manager of Shanghai Telecom, attended the event.
Mr. Zhang first expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Telecom for its contribution to the economic and social development and information construction of the city. Shanghai Telecom has always been one of the main forces in the informatization construction of Shanghai. In 2020, all cadres and employees of Shanghai Telecom made fruitful achievements in the aspects of network power, smart city, network information security, fighting against COVID-19, increasing speed and reducing fees, building an integrated government big data decision-making platform in the Yangtze River Delta, and improving the information and communication services of Lingang New Area.
2021 is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the first year of the implementation of the 14th “Five-year Plan”. Mr. Zhang hoped that with the spirit of overcoming difficulties, Shanghai Telecom will grasp the start of the 14th “Five-year Plan”, focus on strengthening "Four functions", deepen the construction of "Five centers" and urban digital transformation, so as to achieve the goal of continuous growth of business income, further expansion of user scale, continuous optimization of income structure and steady improvement of enterprise value. First, seize the opportunity and the commanding height, accelerate the new infrastructure construction of cloud network integration, and actively enable the internal and external digital transformation. Second, make information and communication network of Shanghai bigger and stronger, and build a world-class communication hub, a data and information port in the Yangtze River Delta, as well as a content exchange hub. Third, make concerted efforts, explore and innovate, make every effort to strengthen the innovation engine in the dual Gigabit application, and create a new highland of independent innovation.
