On the morning of December 28th, Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee,visited theheadquarters of some central SOEs in Beijing, including China Unicom and China Poly Group. The research focused on development plans and subsequent strategic layout of central SOEs in Shanghai. Rong Zhiqin, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, was present.
Mr. Wu expressed his gratitude to thecentral SOEs for their important contributions in promoting Shanghai's "four functions", building "five centers" and promoting high-quality economic and social development.He pointed out that Shanghai is deeply studying and implementing the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 30th Anniversary Celebration Conference on development and opening upat Pudong and the spirit of the fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, adhering to the new development concept and building a new development pattern.He hoped that the SOEs could seize the new development opportunities such as Shanghai's undertaking of national strategic tasks and urban digital transformation, 5G construction, and the construction of five new towns, further deepen the strategic cooperation with Shanghai municipal government, promote the implementation of more major projects, and continue to play an important role in building Shanghai into a central node of domestic big cycle and a strategic link of domestic as well as international double cycle.He also stressed that Shanghai will continue to optimize its business environment, fully support the development of SOEs in Shanghai, vigorously promote industrial upgrading, continuously cultivate new growth points, and create a new pattern of integration and development between local government and central SOEs.
