On December 15th, the first Congress of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Economy of the Communist Party of China was held at the International Hall of Shanghai Science Hall. Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, attended the conferennce and delivered a speech. The Organization Department of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and relevant divisions of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, as well as Party member representatives, non-voting representatives and specially invited guests from various trade associations of the CPC committee system of Shanghai Federation of Industry and Economy and Party branches of some new economic organizations, were present.
Mr. Lu pointed out that Shanghai Municipal Federation of Industry and Economy should give better play to its hub type and joint functional advantages, resource advantages and synergy, and play a good initiative in strengthening and optimizing the three key industries of integrated circuit, biomedicine and artificial intelligence, and the six industrial clusters of electronic information, automobile, high-end equipment, advanced materials, life and health, fashion consumer goods and producer services, which will help to create an industrial system that meets the requirements of Shanghai's urban development, and continuously explore the innovative path of high-quality industrial development. It is important to give full play to the role of joint organization of hub industry associations, better serve the development of enterprises, boost the transformation and upgrading of industries, and make new contributions to the construction of "five centers", the strengthening of "four functions", and the opening of "four brands". At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the leadership of the Party, adhere to the guidance of Party building, and constantly improve the quality and level of Party building in social organizations.
Founded in January 2000, the CPC Committee of Shanghai Federation of Trade and Economy is the first hub type social organization in Shanghai and China to establish a Party committee. After 20 years of development, the number of Party organizations has grown to 143, covering 138 trade associations, and there are 1517 party members.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, especially after the CPC Central Committee and CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee have successively issued "the opinions on strengthening the Party construction of social organizations", CPC Shanghai Federation of Trade and Economy cooperation has earnestly implemented the spirit of the opinions of CPC Central Committee and CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and actively carried out innovative, exploratory and exemplary Party building work of trade associations in accordance with the deployment requirements of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization. The political core role is to lead the healthy and orderly development of social organizations through Party building.
