From November 17th to 18th, Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Shanghai Municipal Government, visited five central SOEs in Beijing, namely China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), State Grid, China Chengtong Group, China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation Ltd. (CNCEC) and China International Intellectech Corporation. The team focused on the exchange with central SOEs on their development planning and follow-up strategic layout in Shanghai, and discussed their development needs in Shanghai in detail. Chen Mingbo, Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Government, and Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, were present.
Mr. Wu expressed his gratitude to five central SOEs for their important contributions to the construction of the "five centers" as well as the economic and social development of Shanghai. He pointed out that Shanghai is deeply studying and implementing the spirit of the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the 30th Anniversary Celebration on the Development and Opening up of Pudong and the spirit of the 5th Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, adhering to the new development concept and building a new development pattern. It is important to give full play to the basic advantages and functions of Shanghai, and strive to build the central hub of the domestic large cycle as well as the strategic link of domestic and international dual cycle. It is hoped that central SOEs can seize the opportunity, comprehensively deepen the strategic cooperation with Shanghai Municipal Government, continue to focus on the national strategy and urban development priorities, vigorously develop new technologies, formats, models and industries, and make greater contributions to the work of "six stabilities" and "six guarantees". He also stressed that Shanghai will continue to do a good job in optimizing the business environment, give full support to the development of SOEs in Shanghai, vigorously promote industrial upgrading, constantly cultivate new growth points, and create a new pattern of integration and development of local and central enterprises.
During his stay in Beijing, Mr. Rong also visited the headquarters of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), China Huadian Corporation LTD., China Minmetals Group Co., Ltd, CRRC, and Poly Group. He said that as the leading department of Shanghai Municipal Government for the comprehensive connection and service of central SOEs, the Commission will strive to be a "window" for the communication between central SOEs and Shanghai, timely serve the development plans and projects of the central SOEs in Shanghai, and spare no effort to serve the gold medal "assistant" for the development of central SOEs in Shanghai.
