On November 4th, the High-quality Development Conference of Pudong’s Robotics Industry was held at Shanghai Kangqiao Advanced Manufacturing Technology Entrepreneurship Park. Relevant leaders were present, including Weng Zuliang, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC Pudong District Committee, Hang Yingwei, Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Government and Governor of Pudong New Area, Peng Song, Executive Deputy Director of Shanghai Office for Promoting the Construction of Science and Technology Innovation Center, and Zhang Jianming, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization.
The conference released the Map of Pudong’s Robotics Industry, the planning of "one valley and one park" (Zhangjiang Robot Valley and Jinqiao Robot Industrial Park) and a number of innovative robot products. Moreover, a batch of robot industry projects were signed.
In recent years, hundreds of enterprises have grown vigorously at Pudong. In the fields of manufacturing, healthcare, rehabilitation, education, commerce, and security, remarkable achievements have been made in the development and application of robot products, and a number of excellent enterprises and high-quality products have emerged. At the conference, ten innovative robot products from Pudong were also launched, including IRB 1300 small six axis industrial robot (ABB), Bionic Cobot (FESTO), upper and lower limb rehabilitation robot (Fourier), 75 commercial cleaning robot (Gaussian Robotics), intelligent inspection robot (CSG), humanoid arm robot (Omron), Athena -- general robot development platform (SLAMTEC), endoscopic surgery robot (MicroPort), Pombert service robot (SIASUN) and OR ophthalmic surgery robot (Zhongrui Funing Holding Group).
The projects of 32 enterprises, including Intuitive Surgical, KaituSirui and Zhongrui Funing Holding Group, signed contracts. Four functional platforms, including Guoxin Test, the Pudong branch of Robot National Evaluation Center, Seekdource and Zhangjiang Intelligent Robot Ecological Alliance, landed at Pudong.12 industry joint research projects were also released, including computer vision sensor for service robot, and AC servo system driven by cooperative robot joint.
