On October 19th, the fourth Workshop for Founders of Key Start ups officially kicked off at the Party School of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee. Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, was present and made a speech. Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, presided over the opening ceremony. The organizers and 78 trainees participated.

Under the guidance of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization and Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, the workshop is jointly sponsored by Shanghai Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Office, Shanghai Municipal Development Service Center for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Shanghai Private Equity Association, PE Association of Shanghai, Shanghai Venture Capital Industry Association and Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center.

Continuing the tradition, Huang Yan, Managing Partner of Lantern Capital and Secretary General of Shanghai Private Equity Association, Shao Jun, Founding Partner of DT Capital, and Yu Jie, Co-founder of Hujiang.com, Initiator of Ant Plan and Vice Chairman of Shanghai Youth Federation, were invited to give lectures. The workshop also arranged the leaders of relevant government authorities and financial institutions to interpret the policies. After the lectures, study and practice at Alibaba headquarters and Huawei Shanghai Research Institute will also be organized.

The workshop of this year attracted more than 160 entrepreneurs to sign up. After strict selection, 78 participants were finally admitted. The average age of the participants is 40 years old. They are basically the core executives of the founding teams. The registered places of these enterprises are Shanghai. Most of them are technology-based enterprises established within five years, nearly 70% of which have obtained equity financing. Among them, there are a large number of "unicorns", which generally have high growth, and the accumulated financing amount of the group has reached more than RMB15 billion.

In order to achieve "efficient selection, accurate cultivation and full service", the Commission has held "the Battle of Maker in China Shanghai Competition and Top 50 enterprises with the most investment potentials in Shanghai" as the starting point. The workshop participants are also the competition players, realizing the promise that "the end of the competition is the beginning of cultivation", and lay a solid foundation for Shanghai to cultivate outstanding entrepreneurs and local "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" heroes. It is reported that the list of "Top 50 venture enterprises with the most investment potentials in Shanghai in 2020" will be released in December.
