On October 14th, sponsored by China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA) and China Institute of Electronic Information Industry Development (CCID), the third Global IC Entrepreneur Conference and the 18th China International Semiconductor Expo (IC China 2020) were held in Shanghai by CCID Beijing, China Electronics News, Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association, Integrated Circuit Institute of CCID Think Tank and CCID Consulting Corporation.
Relevant leaders were present and made speeches, including Chen Minbo, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Government, Yang Xudong, Deputy Director of Electronic Information department of MIIT, Zhou Zixue, Chairman of CSIA and Chairman of Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation, and Keith D.Jackson, Rotating Chairman of Semiconductor Industry Association of America, President and CEO of ON Semiconductor. Fu Xinhua, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, presided over the opening speech.
Entrepreneurs, industry organizations, experts and scholars from the United States, Europe, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan; representatives of relevant industry associations, research institutes, financial institutions, users in hot fields at home and abroad; representatives of leading enterprises in the industrial chain at home and abroad, as well as domestic and foreign news media, attended the conference.
In order to highlight the professional and technical characteristics and focus on the current industry hot spots, in addition to the main forum, the conference also held six sub forums and a summit forum on October 15th, namely 5GChip Forum, Semiconductor Industry Chain Innovation Forum, Intelligent Internet Connected Automobile Chip Forum, Semiconductor Intellectual Property Development Forum, Yangtze River Delta IC Innovation Development Forum, RISC-V Innovation and Development Forum, Domestic Core Kinetic Energy Summit Forum as well as Feiteng Platform Full Stack Solution White Paper and Full Ecosystem Map Release.
IC China 2020, held at Shanghai New International Expo Center at the same time, represented an exhibition area of more than 15,000 square meters, more than 200 enterprises attended the event and the estimated number of visitors exceeded 20,000.Six areas were set up in the exhibition, including semiconductor discrete devices, high-end chips, semiconductor design, semiconductor equipment and materials, innovative application of semiconductors, as well as semiconductor manufacturing and packaging testing. The achievements of integrated circuit industry and new technologies, products and services in the field of integrated circuits were displayed in various forms.
At the same time, the exhibition also held a variety of on-site activities, such as industrial application docking meeting, industrial study tour, recruitment fair and city theme day. In order to help the industry attract more semiconductor talents, IC China Organizing Committee, together with Shanghai Integrated Circuit Industry Association and Moore talent cloud, has actively built a cooperation platform between the semiconductor industry and major universities. The activity attracted 19 HR enterprises including NXP, SenseTime, GEKE, Huahong Group, USI, Broadcom Corporation, Espress if Systems (Shanghai), ANJI, ASMC, ACM, Giga Device, Shanghai Awinic Technology, MediaTek, Edwards, Cambricon, Amlogic, KLA-Tencor, cadence, and Yangtze Memory.
