Sino-Italy Industrial Innovation Forum was held at Zhangjiang, Pudong

      As the first national industrial exhibition held offline under the normalized COVID-10 prevention and control this year, the 22nd China International Industry Fair was held in Shanghai from September 15th to 19th.Nearly 50 Italian advanced manufacturing enterprises will participate in this fair in National Pavilion of Italy, completed by a series of activities. As one of the important activities, the Sino-Italy Industrial Innovation Forum was successfully held at Zhangjiang, Pudong on the afternoon of September 16th. Rong Zhiqin, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Michele Cecchi, Italian Consul General in Shanghai, and Paolo Bazzoni, President of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, attended the forum and made speeches.

 

      In his speech, Rong Zhiqin briefly introduced the development of SMEs in Shanghai and said that these enterprises have played an important role in technological innovation, transformation and upgrading of industries in Shanghai, and are important forces to launch the brand of "Made in Shanghai". The SMEs of Italy have good reputation and strong competitiveness and have become the core supporting force of Italy’s industrial innovation and national economic strength. The exchange between the two parties through the platform of China Industry Fair will further promote the pragmatic cooperation between China and Italy in the industrial field.

      In order to better gather resources of China and Italy to serve enterprises and help Shanghai and Italian SMEs to expand overseas, Shanghai SME Development Service Center signed a memorandum of cooperation with China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Shanghai Creative City Technology Development Co., Ltd. In order to help Shanghai and Italian enterprises cooperate hand in hand, the Commission also invited more than 20 business executives from Shanghai's intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection to participate in the forum, and exchanged ideas with senior executives of more than 30 Italian enterprises on investment fields and cooperation intentions at the subsequent Sino-Italy Business MeetUp.
