On the morning of August 3rd, the foundation laying ceremony for the construction of FFT Global Headquarters was held at Anting Town, Jiading District. Relevant guests were present, including Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Zhang Jianming, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Lu Fangzhou, Secretary of CPC Jiading District Committee, Gao Xiang, Deputy Secretary of CPC Jiading District Committee and Acting Head of Jiading District, Wang Qunbin, Co-Chairman of Fosun Group, and Zhang Liangsen, Global Partner of Fosun and Chairman of FFT.
Mr. Wu congratulated the commencement of the project. He pointed out that the landing of FFT Global Headquarters in Shanghai will become an important force to boost the development of intelligent manufacturing in Shanghai. He hopes that FFT will seize development opportunities and lead the industry trend. First, efforts should be made to improve core technical capabilities, create new advantages of intelligent management services, give full play to the advantages of technology accumulation and transformation over the years, promote the in-depth application of emerging technologies like 5G, artificial intelligence and big data in the manufacturing industry, and enhance the core capabilities of Industry 4.0 in the fields of digitalization, networking and intelligence. Second, focus on the implementation of the action plan for intelligent factories, create a new benchmark for industrial application scenarios, connect with the action plan of "100+ Intelligent Factories" in Shanghai, serve no less than 10 intelligent factories and 1-2 benchmarking intelligent factories, and strive to promote the construction of model projects of intelligent factories in Shanghai. And third, accelerate the gathering of factor resources, create a new channel of domestic and international dual circulation links, give full play to the advantages of Sino German cooperation, introduce the standards and experience of world-class automobile enterprises in intelligent manufacturing into China, and strengthen the exchanges between China and foreign countries in terms of intelligent factories, standards and specifications, and personnel training, so as to provide strong support for stable economic growth and high-quality development of Shanghai.

The main business of the company is to provide flexible automation production line turnkey projects and intelligent factory solutions for first-line vehicle manufacturers, as well as general assembly solutions and segment assembly integration for aviation manufacturing enterprises. In May 2019, Fosun Group completed the wholly-owned acquisition of FFT, and landed FFT Global Headquarters and R&D Center at Jiading District, Shanghai. The total investment of the project is nearly RMB5 billion and is expected to be completed in 2022.
