On the morning of July 21st, DIC(Display Innovation China) Forum 2020 was held in Shanghai. Fu Xinhua, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, was present and made speeches. Relevant leaders were present, including Yang Xudong, Deputy Director of Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Yang Xueshan, Former Vice Minister of MIIT, and Chen Yanshun, Chairman of LCD branch of China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufactures Association (COEMA).
Mr. Fu pointed out in his speech thatDIC Forum has been successfully held in Beijing for ten times before. This year, LCD branch transferred the forum to Shanghai, which fully reflects the trust in the development environment, business environment and degree of internationalization of Shanghai.New display is an important strategic and basic industry in the new generation of information technology. In recent years, with the great concern and strong support of the state, it has achieved a great leap forward development. Display panel shipment of China has been increasing more than one third of the world. Technologies like AM-OLED, Micro-LED, and Quantum dot display are constantly innovating.The high-quality development of new display industry strongly supports the continuous transformation and upgrading of made in China to high-end.This year, despite the impact of COVID-19, under the premise of normalization of epidemic prevention, Shanghai took the initiative to turn the crisis into an opportunity and took advantage of the situation. In the first half of the year, the sales revenue of new generation information technology industry in Shanghai increased by 10.5%.Facing the future, Shanghai will take the high-end industry as the guide to build a new advantage of industrial strategy.The Yangtze River Delta is one of the most intensive, rich and high-end areas in new display industry of China.
