NetEase Shanghai International Cultural and Creative Science Park officially commenced its construction at Qingpu District

      On the morning of June 29th, the commencement ceremony of NetEase Shanghai International Cultural and Creative Science Park was launched at Shanghai West Software Information Park. Relevant leaders witnessed the ceremony, including Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Government, Wu Jincheng, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, Zhou Lan, Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, Zhao Huiqin, Secretary of CPC Qingpu District Committee, Yu Xufeng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Qingpu District Committee and District Governor of Qingpu, and Ding Lei, CEO of Netease. 

      Mr. Chen pointed out in his speech that in September 2018, the municipal government and NetEase signed a strategic cooperation agreement. In more than a year, under the joint cooperation of the Commission, Netease and Qingpu District, the cultural and creative science park has been rapidly established. Shanghai is speeding up the construction of "five centers" and making every effort to launch the "four brands". The municipal government has successively issued 20 articles to expand effective investment to stabilize economic development, 23articles to promote online new economic development, and 35 articles to promote new infrastructure construction, so as to promote the high-quality development of industry and economy of Shanghai. It is hoped that NetEase will seize the opportunities of new digital infrastructure and online new economy, vigorously develop online entertainment, digital cultural innovation, and cross-border e-commerce, build the cultural and creative park into a benchmark park with international influence, and make greater contributions to the economic development of Shanghai.

      It is understood that NetEase Shanghai International Cultural and Creative Science Park is located in the penetration area of Shanghai West Software Information Park. The construction of the project will provide important support for the development of Shanghai West Software Information Park and provide new impetus for the construction of RMB100 billion software information industrial cluster at Qingpu. The total land area of the project is about 151,000 square meters, the total construction area is about 621,000 square meters, and the total planned investment is about RMB5 billion.

      It will be built into an industrial park with creativity, incubation, technology, commerce, life, leisure and activities. The main functions of the project include E-sports hall, office building, technical experiment room, exhibition and training center, offline e-commerce experience shop, supporting business for office and living, and rental housing. After completion, the park can create a harmonious 24-hour work and life atmosphere.
