On June 1st, Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, visited Shanghai Science and Technology Talent Development Center and Shanghai Service Center for Foreigners Working in China (SGST) to study and made investigations. The team visited the exhibition hall named the "Window of Science and Technology in Shanghai", listened to the introduction of SGST leadership, and exchanged ideas with Liu Yan, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee of Science and Technology Work, as well as relevant comrades of SGST.
During the discussion, Lu Xiaochun talked about his feelings and ideas: SGST insists that talents are the first resource. After nearly two years of construction, it has a rapid development speed, sound business and outstanding effect. It has played its due role in the construction of Shanghai into a Science and Technology Innovation Center and high-quality economic and social development process. Mr. Lu said it is hoped that SGST would accelerate the iterative evolution of scientific data, improve the computing power of core algorithms, encourage and gather innovative talents and form core competitiveness around scenario application. What's more, it is also hoped that SGST and the industrial sectors will strengthen the docking and linkage, carry out in-depth research in the three major fields of integrated circuit, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, aerospace, high-end manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet and new energy vehicles, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with relevant scientific research institutions and government departments, build and share, and improve the application level. Last but not least, it is hoped that the center will embody its characteristics and make contributions in the construction of Science and Technology Innovation Center with global influence.
