On May 19th, Zhang Jianming, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatizatio, visited Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Base at Minhang Development Zone for research. The team visited the automatic production workshops of Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator, Bruan(Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Saint Gobain Hangolas Glass (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, and listened to the report of Shanghai Minhang United Development Co., Ltd. on the construction and development of Minhang Development Zone.
Mr. Zhang affirmed the work and contribution of the zone in promoting the development of intelligent manufacturing and serving the real economy in the past 30 years. He pointed out that first, it is important to strengthen the service and guarantee work of the enterprise, and make every effort to cultivate the head enterprises in multiple subdivisions. Second, it is advisable to accelerate the intelligent transformation of enterprises, and aim to build 3-5 benchmark unmanned factories in Shanghai in two years. And third, it is wise to increase investment promotion services and further seize the landing of major projects in the field of intelligent manufacturing.The Commission will continue to provide supporting services for the zone and fully support Minhang District to develop the intelligent manufacturing industry base into a new business card of Shanghai’s intelligent manufacturing.
Minhang Economic and Technological Development Zone is one of the first national economic and technological development zones established in 1986, with a total planned area of about 4.6 square kilometers. In 2019, it achieved the sales revenue of RMB65.668 billion, total industrial output of RMB55.722 billion, and total profit of RMB5.623 billion.As one of the eight featured intelligent manufacturing parks in Shanghai, Minhang Development Zone focuses on building a comprehensive intelligent manufacturing industrial base integrating headquarters with the support of "two intelligent linkages" of intelligent R & D and intelligent manufacturing.
