On April 21st, 2020 Artificial Intelligence World Innovations (AIWIN) was officially launched on the whole network. As an important event of artificial intelligence (AI) development and ecological construction in Shanghai, the theme of this competition is to "enlighten intelligence and set sail for the future". The event cooperates with the head enterprises in depth to create an artificial intelligence innovation atmosphere, accelerate the gathering of AI talents, find the excellent AI projects, and expand the international influence of artificial intelligence. By setting up different theme racetracks, global A talents and teams will be recruited. The competition will also provide a strong platform support for Shanghai to build an artificial intelligence highland.
AIWIN is designed as the first platform of AI technology innovation and global products. It aims to form a long-term AI innovation ecosystem through competition, further gather the resources of enterprises and experts, further explore the implementation path of AI enabling industry, and help Shanghai become the national strategic highland of AI. According to the introduction, after two years of development, AIWIN has become the first influential AI competition in the world. In 2018 and 2019, AIWIN successively held competitions in the fields of medical treatment, driverless driving, robotics, finance and industry. It also opened the first scene application competition in 2019 in combination with the AI scene construction in Shanghai. Every year, the competition attracts more than 1000 teams from the world to sign up. It has accumulated more than 1200 AI application solutions, general technology and underlying capability projects. Through overseas promotion and cooperation, the competition has gradually deepened its influence in Britain, Israel, France, Canada, the United States, Singapore and other countries, with an annual proportion of overseas projects of about 30%. For the first time in 2019, the international entrepreneurship camp was created by the competition and the world artificial intelligence conference, more than 10 overseas enterprises were invited to Shanghai to participate in the conference and implement the results.
2020AIWIN will continue to follow the concept of high specification, professionalism, internationalization and marketization. The competition was guided by the world artificial intelligence conference, organized by Shanghai AI Development Alliance and Shanghai Development Research Center of Economy and Information, and operated by Shanghai Morrow Technology Company. Jizhan (Shanghai) Robot Technology Company and China Mobile jointly supported the competition. Leading companies like ICBC, Guotai Junan Securities and China Unicom (Shanghai) provide real scenes. Intel (China) and Open VINO provide technical support.
It is reported that this year's competition will set up three tracks from the two dimensions of scene application race and technology challenge race: "Industrial Scene Application Race", "Elite Challenge Race" and "Industrial Quality Testing Special Race". The competition will carry out talent growth camp focusing on AI talent training in cooperation with top industry enterprises, well-known universities and international innovation institutions, as well as AI talent training supporting activities such as accelerated operation of enterprises. The competition will be held successively from May to June, the final will be finished at the end of June, and the road show will be held in July.
