Shanghai Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Three Gorges Corporation on January 13th in Shanghai. Li Qiang, Secretary of CPC Municipal Committee, and Ying Yong, Deputy Secretary of CPC Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shanghai, met with Lei Mingshan, Chairman of China Three Gorges Corporation, and his team.
It is hoped that the signing of this cooperation agreement will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides in Yangtze River protection, optimization of energy structure, construction of functional institutions and scientific & technological innovation.
Li Qiang thanked the Three Gorges Corporation for its long-term participation in supporting the construction and development of Shanghai. He said at present, the municipal government is thoroughly carrying out the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of the important speech in Shanghai, implementing three new major tasks in an all-round way, continuing to run the China International Import fair, constantly strengthening the "Four Major Functions", and accelerating the construction of the "Five Centers". The Three Gorges Corporation plays an important role in promoting the implementation of the "Yangtze River economic belt development strategy" and has unique advantages in the development of clean energy.
It is hoped that the signing of this cooperation agreement will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between the two sides in Yangtze River protection, optimization of energy structure, construction of functional institutions and scientific & technological innovation.The Three Gorges Corporation is welcomed to put more green projects, cutting-edge science and technology, and innovative models in Shanghai, and to further participate in the construction of the New Lingang area of Shanghai pilot free trade zone and the Yangtze River Delta ecological green integration development demonstration zone.The Municipal Government will continue to build an international first-class business environment and provide more high-quality and efficient services for the development of enterprises including the Three Gorges Corporation in Shanghai.

Ying Yong and Lei Mingshan attended the signing ceremony, and Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Shanghai, signed the agreement with Wang Lin, General Manager of China Three Gorges Corporation on behalf of each party. According to the agreement, based on the basic principles of "complementary advantages, mutual benefit and win-win results, focusing on the near future, planning for the long term, interaction between government and enterprise, market operation, overall consideration and coordinated development", the two sides will give full play to the advantages of China Three Gorges Corporation in brand, technology, capital, talent, management, and resource integration, and jointly grasp the Yangtze River protection, deepen cooperation in energy field, carry out scientific and technological innovation and deepen comprehensive and practical cooperation in areas like the reform of state-owned enterprises, further build a comprehensive and multi-level strategic cooperation relationship, explore new growth momentum and cooperation space, and work together to serve the national strategy.
At the signing ceremony, Pudong New Area Government and China Three Gorges Corporation also signed relevant cooperation agreements.
