Shanghai Municipal Government signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China, Ltd. (AVIC) in Shanghai on December 18th. Li Qiang, Secretary of Shanghai Municipal Committee, was present and met with Tan Ruisong, Chairman of AVIC.
Li Qiang expressed gratitude to AVIC for its long-term support for the economic and social development of Shanghai. He said that at present, we are deeply implementing the spirit of Xi Jinping's important speech on Shanghai inspection, fully implementing three new major tasks, continuously strengthening the "Four Major Functions" and accelerating the construction of an international economic, financial, trade, shipping and scientific & technological innovation center. The advanced manufacturing industry is one of the main directions of industrial development in Shanghai. It is quite important to regard the civil aviation industry as a key area to launch the "Made In Shanghai" brand and an important breakthrough to speed up the cultivation and development of new kinetic energy. What's more, it is also necessary to focus on breakthroughs and strive to build an aviation manufacturing industry cluster. AVIC is an important force in the development of China aviation industry. It is hoped to further deepen the cooperation between the two sides, jointly promote the high-quality development of China aviation industry, and make greater contributions to the national strategy. Shanghai will make every effort to optimize the business environment, create better conditions and provide better services for enterprises to expand business layout and land key project institutions in Shanghai.
TanRuisong thanked Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for their long-term care and support to AVIC. He said that Shanghai is an important aviation town with a solid foundation, a good environment and a concentration of factors for the development of civil aviation industry. In accordance with the decision-making and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, AVIC will take more active part in the implementation of the national strategy and work with Shanghai to contribute more to the construction of an aviation power.
Wu Qing, Member of the Standing Committee and Vice Mayor of the Municipal Party Committee, and Luo Ronghuai, General Manager of AVIC signed the contract on behalf of both sides. Zhuge Yujie, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Committee, participated in relevant activities. Chen Mingbo, Deputy Secretary General of municipal government, presided over the signing ceremony. Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Lu Ming, Vice Chairman, were present.
According to the principle of "complementary advantages, mutual benefit and common development", Shanghai Municipal Government and AVIC will comprehensively deepen strategic cooperation, strengthen project cooperation, promote the construction and development of relevant industrial bases of Shanghai aviation, jointly promote the construction of Shanghai’s "Five Centers", Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone of Lingang New Area, Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integration Development Demonstration Zone, to achieve win-win cooperation and development.
