On the morning of December 3rd, the 20th China International Maritime Exhibition, known as the “wind vane of the development trend of international maritime technology”, opened at Shanghai New International Expo Center. Wu Jincheng, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Lu Ming, Vice Chairman, were present and accompanied guests from home and abroad in the exhibition.
The exhibition covers an area of more than 90,000 square meters, attracting 2,200 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions. About 2/3 of the exhibitors are overseas enterprises from 16 countries and regions including Denmark, Germany and Japan. These enterprises have participated in the exhibition in the form of national or regional pavilions, including major industry giants and well-known enterprises such as China State Shipbuilding Corporation, COSCO Shipping Group, China Merchants Group, Shanghai Zhenhua Port Machinery Company, and Mitsubishi. Among them, the newly established CSSC Group appeared on the international stage for the first time.
As an important part of the Maritime Exhibition, the "Advanced Maritime Forum" has always been highly praised by the industry for its international, authoritative, forward-looking and professional nature. Focusing on the theme of "innovation, intelligence and integration", the forum of this year will set up six special sessions, including "Theme Report", "Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering", "Shipping and Port", "Maritime Finance and Law", "Supporting Equipment and Technologies" and "Cruise Interior Decoration". During the forum, a number of product release or signing activities will also be organized.
In the exhibition area of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), Mr. Wu witnessed the signing of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between CSSC and DNV GL with leaders and guests from the two enterprises.
In the exhibition area of China Merchants Industrial Holdings, Mr. Wu and Hu Xianfu, General Manager of China Merchants Industrial Group, jointly unveiled the brand of China Merchants (Shanghai) Cruise Research Institute Co., Ltd.
In the Cruise Interior Decoration Zone, Mr. Lu and Chinese and foreign guests jointly unveiled the Zone.
