On the afternoon of December 2nd, 2019 Shanghai Smart City Experience Week opened at Shanghai World Expo Museum. The theme of the event in 2019 is "Smart City -Reshaping the city's future". Lu Xiaochun, Secretary of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, was present and made a speech. Relevant leaders were present, including Zhou Qi, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, Chen Rongbiao, Member of CPC Shanghai Municipal Working Committee of Economy and Informatization, Zhang Ying, Vice Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Wang Yu, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization. Representatives of the city's Smart City leading group and representatives of the informatization departments of each district were also invited to the opening ceremony.
Mr. Lu expressed in his speech that Smart City is an important component of the energy level and core competitiveness of a city. World-class cities attach great importance to the construction of Smart City, technology empowerment, service demand and top-level coordination. With the rapid development of Internet, big data, artificial intelligence and other new-generation information technologies, the rich application scenarios of smart city have become an excellent "experimental field" for the cultivation of new technology industrialization.2019 Shanghai Smart City Experience Week provides a stage to display these new technologies, products, models and formats. During the event, a series of activities will be held to fully reflect the development effect of Shanghai’s smart city and effectively improve people's sense of gains and satisfaction. At the same time, the awarding ceremony of "Smart Craftsman" selection and "Leading Pioneer" selection will also be held during this event.the event of this year closely focuses on the instruction requirements of the General Secretary. On the basis of maintaining the traditional projects, the event pays great importance to integrated circuit and artificial intelligence, and added the integrated circuit layout design competition and artificial intelligence programming competition, which is of great significance for promoting the talent training and technological innovation development in key areas of the information industry.
On the ceremony, Lu Xiaochun, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Zhou Qi, Vice chairman of Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions, presented awards to 10 "Leading Pioneers" and 10 "Smart Craftsmen".It is understood that eligible winners and their collectives can also apply for Shanghai May 1 Labor Medal, Worker Pioneer and other honors.
After the opening ceremony, the awarding ceremony of "Shanghai Smart Community (Village) Demonstration Sites" was also held. Leaders of the Commission, Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs and Municipal Agriculture Commission awarded the first 11 smart community demonstration sites in Shanghai, including Lujiazui Street at Pudong New Area and Bansongyuan Street at Huangpu District. The first 4 smart village demonstration sites in Shanghai, including Zhaoqiao Village at Datuan Town and Tangwan Village at Luojing Town of Baoshan District, were also awarded by the leaders.
