On the morning of November 25th, a special report meeting for retired cadres of the Commission system was held. Liu Ping, Chief Engineer of the Commission, was invited to give an report on the theme of "Make full efforts to launch the ‘Made in Shanghai’ brand and the development of advanced manufacturing industry in Shanghai". Senior leaders, Party branches and representatives of senior cadres of the system attended the meeting.
Mr. Liu started from four aspects: Improve the new positioning of "Made in Shanghai", clarify the new mission of “Made in Shanghai", deploy new actions of "Made in Shanghai", and implement new measures of "Made in Shanghai". He pointed out that manufacturing industry is the main battlefield of real economy. The new mission of "Made in Shanghai" is to implement the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection and research in Shanghai, promote the high quality development of economy in Shanghai, and continuously strengthen the leading function of high-end industry, and strive to create the "Shanghai made" brand. It is important to speed up the core technology research, seize the commanding point of the industry, focus on solving problemsand key links, and form a batch of brand products with core technology and independent intellectual property rights. On the other sides, it is also necessary to strengthen the "three overall plans" of industrial development, investment attraction and enterprise service, focus on the cultivation of new energy in key industries like integrated circuit, artificial intelligence, biomedicine and civil aviation, enhance investment intensity, innovation concentration and economic density, accelerate the transformation of key regions, and strive to implement the three major tasks to make "Made in Shanghai" brand more advanced in technology, more intelligent in manufacturing and high-end in products, and gradually become the global excellent manufacturing base.
Mr. Liu expressed his gratitude to all the old leaders and comrades for their long-term concern and support for industrial and information work of Shanghai. The comrades expressed that they would earnestly study and implement the spirit of the fourth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, learn and understand the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi in Shanghai and the general requirements for the development of Shanghai. In the new round of industrial development, they would give full play to the traditional advantages of the old industrial base in Shanghai, give full play to the role advantages of the old comrades, and contribute positive energy to the new glory of "Made in Shanghai".
